Horus: (staying behind the open veil) Of the Choosing of the King Deaconus: It is time to choose the King of the Earth. As it is through the Earth that the King shall rise, so shall the Earth reveal him. Officer 1 directs all to stand. Officer 2 goes to tomb wherein is the paten of cakes. Bring the paten to the Deaconus. Deaconus takes the paten and faces Horus. Draw over the paten the symbol
of Taurus. Officer 1 takes the paten and offers everyone a cake. Instruct them quietly not to eat until the sign is given. Deaconus: (This should be half-whispered as a mantra) Holy is
the Earth. This is the choosing of the all, omne in parvo 2. This
bread is the bread of the earth, not yet of god, of which we are all
a part so that we, being earth, may choose itself to rise above itself
in the name of the Hawk-headed Lord of Light and Life, Liberty and Love.
This is a sacrement of ourselves unto ourselves, the temples of that
holy Angel which abideth in the Sun, who is married to the Babe in the
Abyss, so that the union of opposites may be the crowning of the Great
Work. This is the choosing of the King of the Earth, that we may rise
up, he our point; Hoc opus, Hic labor est 3. May we, through this
bread, know ourselves; Apokaluptein ton basilea, Apokaluptein ton basilea,
Apokaluptein ton basilea,... DEACONUS: Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. The PEOPLE: Love is the law, love under will. All officers and Horus: Let the King be revealed! All should eat their cake. Deaconus: Let the one who finds the child of Earth come forth! Officer 1: (As soon as the King is revealed) Oyez! The King/Queen is revealed! All officers and Horus: Oyez! The King/Queen is revealed! Officer 1 and 2 should take the King to face the Deaconus. Of the Ordination of the King of Earth Deaconus: Is it your will to rise as King of Earth? (If not, then ask him/her to pass the crown to one of their own choosing). Bring canidate to the center of the Circle, canidate facing North. Draw

With canidate facing South, draw
With canidate facing East, draw
Take canidate to his throne. This is the pinnacle of power, the peak of the highest hill from which all the Land is seen. The ground is firm under thy feet. The path is wide where you walk. Officer 1: What is the length of his Kingdom? Deaconus: From North to South. Officer 2: What is the breadth of his Kingdom? Deaconus: From East to West. Officer 1: What is the height of his Kingdom? Deaconus: From the Abyss to the Abyss. Thou who ruleth over the Earth abideth in the Earth; thou art one with the Earth. Then art thou the fertile soil, the solidity of rock, the strength of stone, and the subtlety of sand. In the name of Horus thou art uprisen and declared the King/Queen of Earth! Battery 333-55555-333. Hear ye all! The King of Earth hath risen! Long live the King! The PEOPLE: Long live the King! Music. Of the Death of the King Deaconus: Your majesty, your court is assembled. We await thy word. Horus (whispering to King): This is my Word which I give unto thee, thou King of Earth, to pass on as thy command: The time is nigh for the sacrifice. King: The time is nigh for the sacrifice. Deaconus: To what end do we make this sacrifice? Horus to King: Tis the completion of the Greak Work we seek. (King repeats) Deaconus: What shall be the sign of the Completion? Horus to King: That all shall be as Kings and Queens of the Earth! Deaconus: How shall it be so? Horus to King: By uniting that which is below to that which is above. Deaconus: How shall we accomplish this Union? Horus to King: By the Word of Earth passing beyond the Kingdom and through the Veil to become one with the Angel of the Sun. Deaconus: Ah! And what is the Word of Earth? Officers and Horus: The KING! Officers should grab the King and take him to the center of the circle. Officers 1 and 2 hold his arms out as Tau. Deaconus: Thrill with the joy of life & death! Ah! thy death shall be lovely: whoso seeth it shall be glad. Come! lift up thine heart & rejoice! Now let it be understood: If the body of the King dissolve, he shall remain in pure ecstasy for ever. Death is the crown of all. Horus: I am the flame that burns in every heart of man, and in the core of every star. I am Life, and the giver of Life, yet therefore is the knowledge of me the knowledge of death. Deaconus then takes the place of Officer 1, who then does her Dance
of Death. During this, the people should repeat the mantra: After three circumambulations, Officer 1 stops in front of the King. She makes a cross at the Crown, saying: ATAH She then points the sword on the chest of the King, and finally thrusts the sword as through him. The King should then crumble as the sword is “removed.” Horus: (leaves the altar and approaches the prone King, saying) Think not, o King, upon that lie: That Thou Must Die: verily thou shalt not die, but live. He gives his hand and lifts him up, leading him back to the altar. He then continues: In the Scarlet Woman is all power given. I will lift her to pinnacles of power and fill her with my joy. He then throws this energy into Officer 1, raising her to that of Babalon. Babalon: (goes to the throne, saying) Let all approach me who would be King! The Deacon should go first. For all that go after, she should make a great cross over them with the sword, place sword above head saying: In the name of Ra, sword on left shoulder saying, of Thoth, sword on right shoulder saying, and of Isis, I upraise thee O thou mighty King among the Kings of the Earth. The Deaconus then goes around them and places the Crown on their head. Officer 2 should be the one to lead those to the Scarlet Woman by asking: Is it thy will to rise as King? Upon an answer of yes, he should lead them all the way to the appropriate spot. Horus: (after all are crowned) Remember all ye that existence is pure joy; that all the sorrows are but as shadows; they pass and are done; but there is that which remains. Lift up thyself! for there is none like unto thee among men or among gods! Yea! Deam not of change: ye shall be as ye are, and not other. Therefore the Kings of the earth shall be Kings forever: the slaves shall serve. Strive ever to more! and if thou art truly mine—and doubt it not, and if thou art ever joyous!—death is the crown of all. The length of thy longing shall be the strength of its glory. He that lives long and desires death much is ever the King among Kings. Beauty and strength, leaping laughter and delicious languor, force and fire are of us. Aye! feast! rejoice! there is no dread hereafter. There is the dissolution, and eternal ecsatcy in the kisses of Nu. Officers 1 and 2 then close the veil. Officer: Battery 333-55555-333 Deaconus: Let the Kings depart this Temple of the Earth that they may do their will in the World. |
